Long-Lived Particle Searches

Searching for new physics through signatures of long-lived particles that decay at macroscopic distances from the interaction point, probing heavy neutral leptons, dark photons, and other exotic particles.

  • Search for Heavy Neutral Leptons with Displaced Vertices (WIP)
  • Displaced Muon Triggers for Run 3 (WIP)

Fast Machine Learning

Development and application of machine learning techniques for real-time inference, including neural network deployment on FPGAs for microsecond-latency trigger systems.

  • ML for VBF Event Classification (presented at Moriond 2023)
  • Neural Network Compression for Trigger Systems (WIP)

Reconstruction Performance

Studies of particle reconstruction algorithms with emphasis on non-standard signatures, developing calibration methods for particles produced away from the primary interaction vertex.

  • Large Impact Parameter Muon Calibration (WIP)
  • Overlap Removal for Displaced and Prompt Muons (internal)
